HeartSaver Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED
Reflecting the latest science and education from the 2020 AHA Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC), the AHA’s Heartsaver Adult & Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course provides students the highest quality training in the lifesaving skills of first aid and/or CPR and use of an AED, with emphasis on emergencies that occur with adults, children and infants. These courses empower students to act with confidence in the event of an emergency at work, home, or in the community.
Basic Life Support
The AHA’s BLS Provider Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2020 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC. This course teaches basic life support skills for application in both in-facility and prehospital settings, with a focus on high-quality CPR, improvement of chest compression fraction, and high-performing team dynamics. The BLS Provider Course teaches rescue techniques for adults, children, and infants.
Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED
The American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED/r.21 program is designed to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. The courses in this program teach participants the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person when minutes matter, and to decide whether advanced medical care is needed. This program offers a choice of First Aid, CPR and AED courses in traditional classroom or blended learning (online learning with instructor-led skill session) formats, in addition to optional skill boosts to meet the various training needs of a diverse audience.
Basic Life Support
The American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides participants with the knowledge and skills they need to assess, recognize and care for patients who are experiencing respiratory arrest, cardiac arrest, airway obstruction or opioid overdose. When a patient experiences a life threatening emergency, healthcare providers need to act swiftly and promptly. The course emphasizes providing high-quality care and integrating psychomotor skills with critical thinking and problem solving to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
Emergency Medical Response
The American Red Cross Emergency Medical Response (EMR) course is designed to provide the participant with the knowledge and skills necessary to work as an emergency medical responder (EMR) to help sustain life, reduce pain and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until more advanced medical personnel take over.
Babysitters Training
Designed primarily for youth ages 11 and older, this online course will prepare students to be better babysitters. Topics include how to provide care for infants and children; how to stay safe; what to do in an emergency; how to choose age-appropriate activities; and how to recognize and handle a variety of behaviors. Students will also learn the basics of starting a babysitting business. The course consists of six interactive modules featuring video, activities, games and tools babysitters can use to build their knowledge and skills and manage their babysitting business. Students who successfully complete the course will receive a printable certificate.
Blended Learning
These courses will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants; and meet OSHA/workplace requirements.
The online portion of these blended courses feature award-winning simulation learning – an interactive experience where you will respond to real-world emergencies in a virtual setting – which will prepare you for the instructor-led classroom skill session. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-person portion and must be taken on a Flash-enabled PC with a high-speed Internet connection.
Allow 2 hours 45 minutes to complete the online portion of the Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED training.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a digital certificate valid for two years.
All Blended Learning Courses REQUIRE that the online training portion be COMPLETED BEFORE the classroom skills test.

Instructor Led:
The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age - adults (about 9 years and older) and pediatric (infants and children up to 8 years of age). Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.
Please dress comfortable as skills are performed on the floor.
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to ensure that your course begins and ends promptly.
RESCHEDULE POLICY:
A $25 Reschedule Fee will be charged for all appointments rescheduled after 72 hours of scheduled course.
NO SHOW POLICY:
If a registered participant fails to attend their scheduled class for any reason, the participant will not receive a refund of any kind. The class may only be rescheduled with the $25 reschedule fee.
VISITOR POLICY:
Only registered class participants are allowed in the classroom during training. Children are not permitted unless they are registered in the course.
NOTE:
In the event a class is canceled, registered participants will be offered a different class at no additional charge or a full refund.
